What we are introducing now to our customers and visitors is more than just a mere layout revamp or a circumstnacial shift in our language policy. It is rather a need. A need to showcase not only what we have been able to provide to a growing audience but, most importantly, a need to depict how far we can push Joomla in terms of technical capabilities and aesthetic refinement.

The visual outcome is almost entirely the brainchild of Agata Urbaniak, the genious behind this reinvention of Joomla's face, quite often too serialized, dull, repetitive... We have proposed ourselves a very ambitious goal. To put Efiplus on the forefront of templating, without overlooking the W3C standards, cross browser compatibility and a meticulosly crafted markup. This is pretty much what we have been delivering to a considerable amount of customers over the past year.
The layout Efiplus has been holding as a flagship also stands out. However, it has ceased to refect the level of programming maturity where we are.
We have been developing on Mambo/Joomla since 2004, this previous site version was built in May 2006 and many events have happened ever since. Our unexpected entrance in a global market niche, from California to Tasmania, poses new responsibilities and new challenges. Hence this structural adjustment.

The time has come to keep our web presence in sync with the knowledge acquired.

Behind the scenes there's a stable Joomla core environment with a plethora of extensions to offer better customer support. While tying things up, I've paid special attention to usability and accessibility. Agata's stunning work deserves no less than the most streamlined user interface and serviceability. The necesary bits to put this engine in motion were either kept or incorporated, whereas all the bloat has been dropped off. At Efiplus, useful simplicity is a supreme value.

"Joomla the way you want it" is more than a cool sounding slogan. We dare to bring it forth because we can assemble this wonderful CMS to suit each of our own caprices. It's still not possible to make ice-cream with it, a drawback we largely regret, but everything related to web applications can be powered by Joomla, if the scope is properly defined and the boundaries of this framework perceived.

It's trendy and almost risk free, in this age of frantic Web 2.0 excitement, to put the BETA seal on everything. We are straight on this. The portal still lacks some features to be added over time, like new multilanguage contents and a couple of goodies for our most faithful customer base to play with.
In regards to language, English is meant to prevail as our default working language, though we will keep on serving in all the other 4 languages we have a native or nearly native proficiency in.

All in all, we want your browsing experience to be pleasant, smooth.

Amid permanent schedule constraints, we've put our best efforts here. The verdict is yours.

Portfolio update overdue

We have been dead busy in the past months building portals and setting up servers. This sudden increase in our workload has made it impossible to update the Portfolio as often as we would want to.

Many projects have been deployed since May 2008 and we plan to add them shortly, therefore stay tuned.

We ain't dead yet, on the contrary. The business itself has grown far beyond our best expectations back in mid 2006, when Efiplus was formally established as the IT frontline of Efisaúde SL.

Agata will swirl her magic wand pretty soon.
